Who We Are
Abby Rhinehart, Director of Interior Design & Visual Merchandising
The brains and style behind our fabulous designs belong to Abby Rhinehart (they/them), a tenth-generation “Pennsylvania Dutch,” disabled, autistic, queer designer residing on occupied Mohawk land, currently recognized as the New York Capital Region.
Abby’s dance with design began during their first career as a child actor and classically trained vocalist. Over their twenty years of studying and working in the performing arts, they learned the craft of set design, lighting, sound design, and costuming. Discovering how to assemble a cohesive production to the last detail awoke a passion for arranging spaces, planning projects, and designing events.
While studying their bachelor's at Temple University, Abby worked full-time as a salesperson and visual merchandiser for the At Home and Kids’ Wear departments and eventually as the Customer Relationship Coordinator for Nordstrom at the King of Prussia Mall just outside of Philadelphia—one of their largest stores on the continent. Learning commercial design, ADA requirements, fashion, and the art of visual display during a store-wide renovation engaged their creative side and led them to a new path.
Upon graduating from university, Abby moved south and spent over a decade as a Realtor® in Southwest Florida. Aside from selling others’ homes, they began renovating and decorating houses throughout Marco Island and Naples. Abby’s colorful and detailed designs caught the attention of local real estate agents desiring staging and design advice for their clients, as every home Abby gussied up sold for a healthy profit. They moved their designs to New York City in 2020, decorating and updating beautiful apartments in Manhattan.
At the onset of the ongoing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, Abby became passionate about clean air technology and how we can improve our collective health by incorporating it into residential and commercial design. Now, including accessible design services for your physical space, Abby offers specialty consultations to help you improve the air quality in your home, reducing illnesses, allergies, mold, and wildfire smoke for a safer, healthier place.
Seeking a retreat from big city life, Abby moved upstate to the New York Capital Region in 2025. After completing the restoration of their own century-old Victorian, they have once again opened their appointment book to lucky clients who wish to bring some of Abby’s detailed magic to their project.
